The island of Yeu is accessible by sea from the port of Fromentine at La Barre de Monts (tickets available at the campsite reception)
Take the boat and set foot on this small piece of Vendée of 23 km². You will feel the special atmosphere that attracts thousands of visitors every summer. Discover Port-Joinville, Saint-Sauveur and La Meule, the three small communities of the island.
A paradise for lovers of wild and preserved nature, surfers and beach lovers, the island of Yeu can be visited along the countless paths that crisscross the seashore and the countryside.
Beautiful landscapes
You will be charmed by these multicolored landscapes which vary with the seasons: fine sandy beaches, wild coasts (southern part), magnificent viewpoints on the ocean…
Discover the port of La Meule, nestled in a cove and dominated by the striking chapel of Notre-Dame de la Bonne Nouvelle. Your discovery will lead you to the citadel (fort of Pierre-Levée), the beach of the Grande Conche, the Pointe des Corbeaux, its lighthouse and its small fishermen’s huts… By staying in our campsite near the island of Yeu, it will be possible for you to go and admire all its landscapes.

The island of Yeu also shelters remarkable megalithic sites. The dolmen of Petits Fradets and the dolmen of La Planche à Puare remind us that the island has been inhabited since prehistoric times.
